A native North Dakotan and proud of it, Pistol Pete is a P.K. aka “preacher’s kid” – both his late Dad and his Mom were/are United Methodist ministers. Pete fell into radio while in college at North Dakota State University, and has just kept going ever since. After all the years spent in the industry, he says, “it’s fun to meet the stars, but it’s even better if I can help make just one person’s day in some way.”
The Greater Cincinnati area has been home now to Pete for 14 years, and he’s completely assimilated – a Bengals and Reds fan and NASCAR enthusiast at Kentucky Speedway. Just give him extra hot sauce for those cheese conies, a side of goetta and a starry night at Riverbend!
Pete spends his free time either at a grill, or the big rig that lives at Lake Waynoka called Big Bertha! Big enough to roast a 250 pound pig, Bertha also does lip smackin’ ribs, brisket and chicken. If he ever needs a “real” job someday, maybe Pete can hit the BBQ Competition Circuit!
